A smart thermostat is a Wi-Fi enabled device that can automatically adjust heating and cooling temperature settings in your home for optimal performance. For the average household, almost half the annual energy bill goes to heating and cooling!
Members with a smart thermostat can take charge of their energy by participating in a smart thermostat program. Even when energy spikes on certain days of the year, your bill doesn’t have to.
By enrolling in a Smart Thermostat Program, Members will receive a one-time $25 billing credit!
Participants help manage higher energy demand by allowing specific, short-term adjustments to your HVAC system via your wi-fi thermostat. In most cases, you won’t notice adjustments to your home’s HVAC system or your comfort. And you’ll always have ultimate control.
How Does it Work?
The Smart Thermostat program is free to join and completely voluntary.

SIGN UP
By enrolling, you sync your smart thermostat with the program. This allows your cooperative to adjust your thermostat remotely only on the peak days when the energy grid is strained.

GET APPROVED
You’ll be notified by email confirming you’re enrolled in the program.

SIT BACK AND SAVE
On peak days, you’ll be notified when it is planned to adjust your thermostat a few degrees. Your thermostat will automatically change back to your regular settings when the peak passes.

RE‑ADJUST WHENEVER YOU LIKE
Want to tweak the thermostat during a peak event? No problem. Members may override any planned adjustment through your device’s app.
