ODEC Responds to PJM Capacity Auction Results with Resilience through Owned Generation

Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) today issued a statement in response to the recently released results of the PJM Interconnection’s 2026/2027 Base Residual Auction (BRA), which cleared at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-approved price cap of $329.17 per megawatt-day across the PJM footprint.

While the auction results reflect a tightening supply-demand balance and a 22% year-over-year increase in capacity prices, ODEC emphasized that its members are largely insulated from the financial impact of elevated market prices.
