Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) and Gas South announced today a combined $200,000 donation to Southside Virginia Community College’s (SVCC) Power Line Worker Training School, ensuring a future workforce to maintain Virginia’s electrical reliability.
ODEC has committed $100,000 over four years to support the program, with Gas South providing a matching $100,000 contribution. The investment expands access to specialized training that prepares students for careers in the electric utility industry and addresses the growing demand for qualified line workers across Virginia and the broader energy sector.
