Before joining ODEC in 1998, Jack Reasor served as a Vice President of First Virginia Bank and President of Premier Trust Company after he was a partner in the law firm of Galumbeck, Simmons, and Reasor.
He also served as a Virginia state senator from Southwest Virginia from 1992-1998, representing the 38th Senate District. Jack served on several committees and was chairman of three legislative subcommittees, including Electric Utility Restructuring. Additionally, he served as chairman of the Virginia Coal and Energy Commission.
Jack currently serves as Chair to both the VA Advanced Study Strategies and the NRECA Regulatory Committee, and is also a member of the Electricity Sub-sector Coordinating Council. He is a past Chairman of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and Averett University.
Jack received his bachelor’s degree from Lincoln Memorial University before graduating from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. He became a member of the State Bar of Virginia in 1978.
